Heritage Washi is a term coined by The Japanese Paper Place for Japanese papers that are still made by hand by skilled craftspersons using the earth-friendly techniques and materials of their ancestors. These papers are painstakingly made from the inner bark of 3 renewable species of plants - kozo, mitsumata and gampi. No fillers have been added, no harsh caustic soda used to hasten the process and no bleach to whiten the colour. As a result, these papers are very strong, absorbent and archival with a fine beautiful surface. They await your touch to complete the conversation.
