Cooked with slaked lime and coloured with natural iron oxide pigment. This washi is dried on wooden boards. The subtle texture of the wooden boards remains on the surface. Great for printmaking, chine-colle, and drawing with ink or graphite. Mitsumata paper was traditionally used in Japan for backing gold leaf.
