About our wholesale lines

Japanese Cardstocks Our Japanese cardstocks come in an enticing range of over 60 colours and surface treatments, from subly fibred pastels, to metallics, to richly coloured and textured Linens and Iwahadas.

Most are laser-printable and photocopier compatible, making them ideal for invitations, menus and signage. All are available in parent sheets of 43 x 31" or half, 8.5 x 11" or sets of twenty-five A7-sized sheets.

Chiyogami (Yuzen)

Japanese Chiyogami (Yuzen) Papers Chiyogami, also known as Yuzen, is by far our most popular line of paper.  These hand-silkscreened repeat pattern papers are wonderful for collage, bookbinding, invitations - the sky's the limit. With over 900 patterns to choose from, you are sure to find something to your liking!

Creative Supplies

Japanese Creative Supplies

In addition to our paper, we offer a number of creative supplies that are useful for users of Japanese paper.

From rice paste to sumi-e supplies to ingenious clips, these products help you get the most out of Japanese papers.

Dyed Washi

Dyed Washi: Moriki Kozo and Matsuo Kozo

These papers are handmade using traditional methods, combining exceptional strength with the rich colour of dyed kozo. Loved by bookbinders and conservators, these papers are equally useful for printmaking, letterpress and fine art.

Japanese Paper Gifts

We are also pleased to offer a variety of paper-covered and paper-related gift items.

These include stationery sets, notepaper, pencils, pen stands, business card holders and many other items.

Katazome-shi Hand Silkscreened Papers "Katazome-shi" literally means stencil-dyed (katazome) papers (-shi), and is also referred to as "Wazome." As the name implies, they are stencilled - with traditional materials, and the care that comes with craftsmanship by hand - to produce unforgettable, intense colours and patterns.

Treasured particularly for covering books and boxes (or simply framing), they are available in full sheets only of 24 x 36".

Japanese Metallic Papers

Our lines of metallic papers, available in a range of tones and patterns, are unlike most others you may have seen: the papers are firmly made and the patterns embossed or layered in such a way that the plain white paper on the other side is still easily printable.

These deluxe papers are ideal for luxury wrapping or decoration, when only the most opulent will do.

Japanese Natural and Large Format (Shoji) Papers

While not as showy as other more decorative Japanese papers, our natural paper selection is just as varied and useful: in a variety of weights, tones, textures and finishes, these papers are perfect for everything from printing to calligraphy to woodworking, or bookbinding to collage or chine-collé...the sky's the limit!

Large format Japanese papers - usually available in the form of rolls - have been widely used througout Japanese history and culture. While traditionally used for anything from shoji screens to decorative scrolls, these papers are finding growing popularity in the West in everything from interior design to printmaking.

Opaque Patterned Papers

Japanese Opaque Patterned Papers Our collection of Japanese opaque papers is second to none.  In this section you will find some twenty of our most popular lines in a variety of colours.  This is only a fraction of our opaque selection - check back regularly, as we update our online selection.

Since most are laser-printable and photocopier-compatible, they are popular for invitations, menus and signage, but their lower price point also makes them favoured with collage artists and scrapbookers. All papers are available in 8.5 x 11" as well as parent sheets of 43 x 31" or half.

Japanese Tissues
In this section you will find our full range of watermark tissues, with over a dozen patterns and in a range of colours. These fine, strong, translucent patterned tissues are excellent for collage, shades and overlays. Full sheet sizes vary, but start at 21 x 31".
Also here are obonai feather and kanji-patterned tissues, thin papers perfect for gift wraps or layering.  All sheets are 21 x 31". Obonai Feather Tissues    Kanji-patterned Tissues
